Time’s Up! had a massive year in 2011. From Clearwater, to Indian Point, to Occupy Wall Street, Time’s Up! worked tirelessly to make NYC and the world more sustainable. As always, we ran weekly fix-your-bike-workshops, hosted hundreds of group rides, and continued ongoing campaigns. In addition, we started new projects such as the Time’s Up! Energy Bikes, for which we created an open source how-to webpage, in order to power the activist movement for years to come. Read all about our year in review here!
Thanks to all of you who supported Time’s Up! in 2011. You are truly part of a global uprising. We saw a huge upswing in our funding this year with Occupy Wall Street. Thank you to everyone who donated directly to OWS, and especially to those of you who donated to our projects in affiliation with OWS through Crowdrise. We set a one week fundraising record this year, and as you can see, we put this money toward great projects. Please read our year-end letter, and make a donation to support us in the new year here!
We will ring in the New Year as we always do, with a bike ride to Belvedere Castle in Central Park, where we will watch the fireworks and throw the best dance party in New York City, free! You can join the ride in three places at three times: the Brooklyn side of the Williamsburg Bridge at 9:45, under the arch in Washington Square at 10, or at 23rd and Broadway at Madison Square Park at 10:20. You can also just meet up with us at Belvedere Castle anytime after 11pm. Please join us and ring in the New Year the best way possible, on your bike! Check out all the details here!.
