Greening the Gowanus

Time’s Up! greens the Gowanus Canal with the Gowanus Canal Conservancy.  Volunteers are needed for the Clean & Green volunteer clean up.  The clean up will begin with the construction and painting of bird houses and bat houses followed by clean up and greening of Degraw and nearby streets and planted areas.

Huge thanks to the Conservancy’s July volunteer team who did a heroic job on that one street end and transformed the site.  This Clean & Green volunteer day is sponsored by City Beautiful Carpentry, Bjork Carle Woodworking, Brooklyn Creative League, and is offered in partnership with the NYC Parks Department and Partnership for Parks.
