Time’s Up! environmental organization is helping to launch this innovative, living history museum which will highlight how East Village community members and grassroots organizations stepped up and helped transform abandoned building and vacant lots into vibrant community spaces and thriving community gardens as well as used direct action to draw awareness toward diverse public spaces issues. Many of these grassroots, sustainable efforts and values spread to communities outside the neighborhood and can be seen today throughout the world.
