Croton-Mohansic
33.0 Miles, Plus Optional 11-Mile Spur

Cue sheet taken from Ride Guide: Hudson Valley New Paltz to Staten Island by Dan Goldfischer. Courtesy of Anacus Press, an Imprint of Finney Company, www.bicyclingbooks.com.

Note: This ride starts and ends on Croton Point Ave. and goes as far as Yorktown Heights; to follow it from Yorktown Heights to the Clearwater Revival (at the end of Croton Point Ave.) start at the 19.7 mile point.
Terrain: Rolling, with a few extremely steep hills. (The two hard ascents can easily be walked, if necessary, since there is little traffic at those points.)
Traffic: Moderate near Croton, moderate to heavy on Rt. 202 into Yorktown, otherwise light.
Road Conditions: Very good.

You are now on the Croton to the Point route. Continue on that route's cue sheet.

Note: The above link connects to the Croton To The Point route. Following this link, you can have a 54.4- or 56.8-mile ride. The link (Mt. Airy Rd.) goes up-up-up, then down-down-down, but the bad hills fade away eventually as you get into the Croton To The Point ride and settle into a more moderate roll.

Points of Interest: Croton Gorge Park underneath the huge Croton Dam; Wilkens Farm pick-your-own apples (fall); F.D. Roosevelt (Mohansic) Park (swimming and boating); North County Trailway (north section); Teatown Lake Reservation (hiking and nature museum); Van Cortlandt Manor (a Sleepy Hollow restoration).
