Columbus Circle Central Park
Saturday, June 7, 8pm (rain date Sunday, June 8)
Meet: Columbus Circle Central Park
A bike ride based on the surreal NYC Peter Gabriel era Genesis album “The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway,” during which we experience the good, bad and scary that make up our city streets!
Lambs are not lame,
Sheep are chic!
Just like our bikes,
On the street!
“The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway”, considered by many to be Peter Gabriel’s greatest musical work, is a sureal NYC story about a half Puerto Rican boy named Rael who needs to face bizarre creatures and nightmarish dangers in order to rescue his brother John.
So let’s celebrate, both the Puerto Rican Day Parade, which occurs the following day, and humanitarian activist Peter Gabriel’s recent 2014 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by riding our bikes down Broadway, dangers notwithstanding!
Greaser punk, and animal costumes encouraged. Will you be black sheep, or a white sheep? Baaaaaaah!
