Adam Purple Memorial

Join us in remembering Adam Purple, legendary environmentalist at La Plaza community garden on Saturday, September 26th from 4pm-8pm. People are invited to speak and briefly share their memories of the famed gardens godfather of the Lower East Side and his legendary Garden of Eden. There will also be a corresponding indoor exhibit at the Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space (155 Avenue C) remembering Adam with photos from the community and video by Harvey Wang. If you would like to help at all with these two wonderful memorials, please let us know. Everyone is encouraged to wear purple and to bring a white t-shirt to tie-dye.
