Time's Up! Bike Repair Class Tuesday - Wheels and SpokesFor over 20 years, Time’s Up! Environmental Group has been working to increase environmental awareness and non-polluting transportation. We are happy to report that both are on the rise in New York City thanks to your support. Our wide range of group rides have helped to foster thousands of new bicyclists and have encouraged many to become everyday commuters. The result of this increase in ridership has been to put pressure on the city to increase cycling infrastructure–which we are now seeing.

Now that we have generated all of these new riders, it is important to Time’s Up! to support them with opportunities to become more self-sufficient by learning how to maintain and fix their bikes, while also learning about community building, volunteering, and the bigger environmental picture. The new Time’s Up! Brooklyn space is our second location designed to support this growing community of cyclists.

In March 2009, we held an opening party celebration at the new Brooklyn space as a tribute to the cycling community and to all of our volunteer instructors who have taught more than 700 bike repair workshops, including a women’s-only workshop, which has taken place every Monday night for close to 4 years.

Time’s Up! Environmental Organization is 100% volunteer run. Your contributions and volunteer efforts go directly into supporting campaigns, events, and change that you can feel in your lungs and see on the streets.

Come on out and visit our new workshop space in Brooklyn or check out our other location in Manhattan. Support the efforts of our volunteer mechanics by making a donation on our website or mailing a donation to Time’s Up! at P.O. Box 550, New York, NY 10009. We are run by people like you.
