AUGUST PEACE BIKE RIDE
**SPECIAL RIDE – STATEN ISLAND SAMPLER**
Meet @ 11:45 AM at the Whitehall Staten Island Ferry Terminal in Manhattan to board the 12 Noon Ferry to Staten Island. Meet in the bicycle boarding area on the first level under the escalator. The ferry is free. (If you live on Staten Island you can meet at 12:30 PM at the St. George Ferry Terminal, right by the guard gate leaving the bicycle exit).

Peace starts when you board the Staten Island Ferry and pass Lady Liberty in New York Harbor. Sites on this “Staten Island Sampler” ride will give you a sample of what the “forgotten borough” has to offer and the sites on the ride will include: The Statue of Liberty (as seen from the Staten Island Ferry), The National Lighthouse Museum, Every Thing Goes Book Cafe, MakerSpace, Camp Hudson and the Alice Austen House. AND will include:

STOP ‘N’ SWAP
Staten Island MakerSpace Park
Bring clean, reusable, portable items such as clothing, housewares, electronics, books & toys that you no longer need. Take home something new-to-you, free! You don’s have to bring something to take something.

Alice Austen House
An audiovisual picnic concert curated by local Staten Island artist, composer, and performer Volker Goetze together with renowned photographer and artist Sam Samore. Inspired by stories of the “forgotten borough” Staten Island. Free!
